Hospital de Santa Creu i de Sant Pau is a beautiful building to help the recovery.It is in the northern part of Barcelona in the district of the Eixample .
With the construction of the hospital form 1902 to 1912, the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner achieved a masterpiece – a specially human and in no ways sterile building that nonetheless met the highest medical standards
The main building is dedicated to the hospital administration and the 27 pavilions are dedicated to the serve as clinics.
The Basilica de la Merce (Basílica de Nuestra Señora de la Merced) is a late Gothic style church. It still retains an image of the city's patron saint, the Mercè Virgin.
Originally in the thirteenth century the building was Gothic however, it was renovated in the eighteenth century in a late Baroque style by Josep Mas. Its interior is a single nave and houses the image of the patron saint of the city, the Virgin of 'La Mercè', a Gothic carving.
The German Pavilion, or Barcelona Pavilion, was built for the 1929 International Exposition of Barcelona. It is designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and has been named as one of the most important buildings of modern architecture. The pavilion was used for the official opening of the German section of the International exposition. The pavilion was demolished in 1930 but rebuilt in 1986.
It incorporates the elements of the modern architecture with materials such as marble and travertine that has been used in the building of it. It is quite a subtle building and it is its simplicity and the waterdecoration with stone marbles at the bottom outside of it that makes the pavilion very attractive. Inside of it you can see things such as the Barcelona chair and the Alba sculpture designed by Georg Kolbe.

The Palau Sant Jordi was one of the main venues of the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. It is an indoor sporting arena and multi-purpose installation. Nowadays, it is used for all kinds of indoor sport events as well as for concerts and other cultural activities, due to its great flexibility.
The Palau de la Generalitat houses the offices of the Presidency of the Generalitat de Catalunya. It is one of the few buildings of medieval origin in Europe that still functions as a seat of government and houses the institution that originally built it. It is located in the Barri Gotic neighborhood of Catalonia's capital, the city of Barcelona.
