The Perfume Museum in Barcelona shows how flasks have developed since the time of ancient Egypt until today. The walk along the 5,000 issued vessels starts with the historical pots and vases from the time of the ancient Egyptians, the Greeks and the Romans. In addition, the development of the designs of perfum bottles are shown by several examples from the industrial production.
Barcelona Center of Contemporary Culture or more known CCCB is a museum which host temporary exhibitions for example photography, sculpture, cinema, concerts and other cultural events. It was opened in 1994 as center of urban development and urban culture studies controlled by the City Council of Barcelona and Diputacio of the province of Barcelona, but soon it became a museum.
Located close to the Ciutadella Park, the Chocolate Museum shows the history of the chocolate. In this museum, you can learn about the origins of the chocolate and its arrival in Europe. You can also learn about its nutritional value and the different ways to make it. Barcelona is one of the oldest city in Europe to have hosted chocolate from America thanks to its port. Barcelona has also the oldest chocolate makers of Europe dating back to 1777.
CosmoCaixa is the Science Museum of Barcelona. Considered as one of the best Science Museums of Europe, we can find it in a 50 000m2 building close to Tibidabo. The museum offers different exhibition halls, some are for temporary exhibitions others for permanent exhibitions. Concerning the permanent exhibitions, the most impressive areas are the flooded forest (large greenhouse of 1000m2), the Geological Wall and the Planetarium. It's an interactive museum and visitors can participate to various experimentations. For these reasons, CosmoCaixa is one of the most attractive museum for adults and children!
