The Picasso Museum collects all artwork which Picasso created between 1895-1904 but there are works from a later stage as well such as the collection "Las Meninas" from 1957.
The museum is located in five contiguous buildings from the Gothic era. The whole museum covers 11 500 m2 where visitors can see more than 3,000 paintings, sketches, drawings, ceramics and engravings of this most famous artist of the 20th Century view.
His works of the period of Cubism are hardly represented. Nevertheless, the museum offers the largest Picasso exhibition in Spain.
