The Palau de les Heures is one of Barcelona’s most exceptional and singular buildings, as it stands alone on the foot of the Collserola Hills in the Montbau neighbourhood. It was built in the 19th century and was first mentioned in 1875 together with a crime that was then committed.
There are three terraces that are all directed towards the midday sun. On the first one we can find the palace itself and on the remaining other two we find extensive vegetation and beautiful views.
The main elements of the Gardens’ are the palm trees, especially Washington palms and Canary palms which dominate the landscape. However, there is also a broad array of different flowers and bushes that create a beautiful surrounding.
The palace and its gardens has only recently been made available to the public (1998) and is still used by the Fundació Bosch i Gimpera for training courses.
