The Parc de Monterols which former name was "El Turo d´en Gil" is a park located in the
Sarria-Sant Gervasi district of Barcelona. It has a total area of 1.94 hectares (which is
abot 4.8 acres) and was opened as a public park of the city as late as 1947.
The park is designed by the architect Luis Riudor i Carol and has a romantic sense and a
mysterious charm intact. It has paths which cross the park where you can climb up to the
top of the hill, a height of 121 metres. In later years these paths have been widened in
order to fit benches and playgrounds.
