Barcelona is known as a city of parks and it has indeed a lot of them. The Labyrinth park is one of the most oldest and beautiful parks in Barcelona. Its located quite far away from the city and that is why its not so known as the Parc Guell or Parc de la Ciutadella. The park is located in the end of Barcelona in Horta district, where its very easy to go by metro.
There park got its name from the labyrinth of trimmed cypress bushes. Its really big and you might need event 20 minutes to get out of the labyrinth. There are different areas in the park. One is called a romantic garden where are lots of flowers, gazebos, huge trees, waterfall and even a lake with goldfish.
The park was owned by Desvalls family and they used to live in the castle, which can be seen when entering the park. In the 1971 they had to give the park to the city because they could not afford to take care of it anymore.
Its an amazing experience for everyone, because its quite hidden and it looks awesome. Very recommendable place to visit in Barcelona.
